The nine paintings acquired by Golden Tree are part of Mastenbroek’s ongoing series Field of Noise — a body of work translating constant inner noise into structured visual compositions. Created after a period of burnout, the series marks Uday’s return to painting in 2023, driven by the need to process the daily impact of tinnitus. What began as a personal search for balance evolved into a distinct visual language where colour, rhythm and line express what words cannot. Each work begins as a chaotic field of colour. Some works, including four Full Noise paintings, remain without lines — allowing pure, unfiltered chaos to exist. Whether structured or raw, each painting is a sensory map of sound, emotion and colour within the artist’s inner world.
